Diagnostic

Most organisations know roughly how they think they are doing on trans inclusion. Very few can show it. The gap between the two is where an unpleasant surprise waits, and it usually opens up quietly, over years, without anybody deciding it should.

What it does. The Diagnostic is a calm, board-readable self-assessment: fifty-five questions across five governance domains, about fifteen minutes, saved as you go so you can return to it. It returns two readings, deliberately kept apart. Maturity is the breadth of your inclusive practice — what you actually do, across the five domains. Defensibility is how well those decisions would hold up if challenged — the evidence trail behind the practice. A well-meaning organisation can score respectably on one and poorly on the other, and knowing which is which changes what you do next.

What you get. A baseline you can point at and a maturity tier, plus a dashboard, per-domain insights, and an executive summary you can put in front of senior colleagues. It names your most urgent gap and lets you open that domain directly, and it carries coaching off the back of your answers rather than leaving you with a score and no next move. It also surfaces the perception-versus-reality gap — where your confidence and your practice have quietly parted company. You can retake it and review past results.

Who uses it. EDI and governance leads establishing a starting position. HR directors planning a year of work. Executive sponsors who have been asked how exposed the organisation is.
