What does a licence cover: users, devices and sharing?
Buying, licensing and policies
In brief:
- One named person: Practitioner and Professional licences are issued to a single named individual. They are personal and may not be shared with, transferred to or used by anyone else.
- Two devices: each licence covers two concurrent devices. A device can be retired from the account at any time to free the slot.
- One organisation: the licence is set up for a single organisation, and its work belongs to that organisation.
- Who pays: an organisation can pay for a licence for a designated employee. The organisation is then the contracting party for billing, and the named user must still accept the Terms personally.
- Leavers: if the named user leaves, contact us to transfer the licence to a replacement. The sign-in itself should not be handed over.
Where more than one person needs access, the Pricing page describes Enterprise seats, one per named user. The Enterprise schedule of the Terms of Service says it takes effect when Enterprise licensing launches; contact [email protected] to confirm the current position for a given organisation, including for a security questionnaire.
