Key provisions

Reg. 21 — Washing facilities: Requires employers to provide suitable and sufficient washing facilities, including showers if required by the nature of the work, with separate provision for men and women or adequate privacy.
Reg. 24 — Changing and rest facilities: Requires employers to provide suitable and sufficient changing facilities and rest facilities, with separate provision for men and women where necessary for reasons of propriety or decency.
When relevant
Designing inclusive toilet and changing room policies. Often cited in disputes about access to single-sex facilities. The 'lockable room for one person' exception is key to many practical solutions for trans inclusion.
