What It Is

A Library Built in Three Layers

As of today, the library holds 91 framework documents , organised across the three layers described throughout this site: strategic documents that make the governance case to a board, operational documents — rule-sets and playbooks — that turn that case into a repeatable process, and frontline documents, such as response scripts, that give a manager or team member the words to use in the moment.

That structure exists because a workplace decision rarely lives at one altitude alone. A board needs the strategic reasoning; a manager needs the operational process; the person having the conversation needs something they can actually say. One library, three altitudes, one evidence base underneath all of them.

Inside the App

How the Library Works in the Platform

The library isn't a static shelf of PDFs. Policy Foundations builds the seven-area policy foundation your organisation needs, with an AI-enhanced gap analysis against each area. Policy Hardener lets you upload up to five existing policies and stress-tests them against trans-inclusion criteria before an external challenger does. The EqIA/DPIA Wizard turns a six-stage guided assessment into a defensible, exportable record.

Everything you generate — every assessment, every hardened policy, every response script — saves automatically to DocuVault, so your organisation builds a growing library of its own evidence, not a folder of one-off downloads.

Why It Matters

A Policy Is Not the Same as a Defensible Decision

Having a policy is not the same as being able to defend a decision — the difference is whether you can show the reasoning behind it. The Document Library exists to close that gap: instead of starting from a blank page, or a generic template with no legal grounding, you start from documents already built against the Equality Act 2010, current UK case law, and the Beyond Compliance evidence from 136 employers.

In practice

A document from the library is a starting point, not a finished answer — it still needs your organisation's own facts, sign-off, and review cycle behind it. What it removes is the risk of starting from nothing.

Who It's For

Who Uses the Document Library

HR and EDI leads drafting or refreshing policy, managers who need a response script mid-conversation, and boards building the evidence trail they'll need if a policy is ever formally challenged — the library is built for whoever in your organisation needs a defensible document, at whatever level they sit.
